We are the Urban Research and Information Center – CIIU, an initiative of the Architects’ Association of Ecuador, Pichincha Province (CAE-P), with the support of the Project Collaboration Entity (ECP).

Through our work pillars, we drive a more informed and sustainable city by providing data that supports citizens in decision-making — whether in business, services, entrepreneurship, planning, or urban development — with the potential to generate public policies or address urban-scale challenges.

GeoCIIU
A geographic viewer with georeferenced data sourced from public sources, our own research, and contributions from our network of collaborators.
A user-friendly geoportal that allows you to combine data by custom areas or zones, run advanced queries, and generate your own indicators based on your requirements.
GeoCIIU is free — you only need to register to access the unlimited version of the tools. Registration is at no cost.

Collaborative Research
We believe in the power of shared knowledge to generate a more human, safe, and sustainable city. We build partnerships with academia, independent researchers, the community, and various study groups to produce research in areas such as: Urbanism, Geo-statistics, Data science, Geomatics, Biogeography, Gender studies, Risk management, among others.
